Customer story
Three weeks to under four days, on the group's own Azure tenant
TVS Housing keeps every project in its own company, so group reporting means consolidating many sets of books. It also had to meet TVS Group's security standards.
FINAHQ cut our consolidation from three weeks to under four days.
Ramakrishnan, General Manager, Finance, TVS Housing. Running inside the company's own Azure tenant, after TVS Group's VAPT review
Consolidation went from three weeks to under four days. That’s around 80% faster.
Who they are
TVS Housing is a real estate developer in Chennai and part of the TVS Group. Like most developers, it holds each project in a separate company.
The problem
Separate project companies are sound for funding and for risk. They also mean group reporting is a consolidation job from the first day: many sets of books, intercompany funding running between them, and results in the formats management and lenders expect. Doing that by hand took three weeks of spreadsheets.
There was a second condition. TVS Group has strict IT and data-security standards, and the financial data had to stay inside the company’s own cloud.
What we did
- Deployed FINAHQ inside TVS Housing’s own Microsoft Azure tenant, the company’s private space in Microsoft’s cloud, so the data never leaves it
- Took it through TVS Group’s VAPT review (vulnerability assessment and penetration testing) with the group’s Data and AI team
- Designed the consolidation report formats with the finance team, to match how management already reads them
- Automated the intercompany eliminations, with drill-down to the source entries
What changed
Consolidated financials now come from one governed platform instead of a chain of spreadsheets. The management formats are produced each period, so nobody rebuilds them, and any figure can be followed back to the entry it came from.
“As a real estate developer, we run many project entities, and consolidating them used to take us three weeks of spreadsheets. Today it takes under four days. FINAHQ now runs inside our own Azure environment, cleared our security assessment and produces consolidated financials in the report formats our management needs. Every number traces back to the source.”

Questions
Commonly asked
Where does the data live?
Inside TVS Housing's own Microsoft Azure tenant. FINAHQ was deployed into the company's environment, so the financial data never leaves it.
Did it go through a security review?
Yes. TVS Group's VAPT process (vulnerability assessment and penetration testing), completed with the group's Data and AI team.
Can a figure be traced back?
Yes, with drill-down to the source entries. In the customer's words, "every number traces back to the source".
Why does real estate make this harder?
Each development is usually its own entity, so a group of any size means many sets of books, intercompany funding to eliminate between them, and formats that management and lenders expect rather than a standard pack.
